Menifee Parks Master Plan Workshop

  • Kay Ceniceros Senior Center 29995 Evans Rd Menifee, CA, 92586 United States (map)

Residents’ opportunity to provide input at Parks Master Plan community workshop

At an upcoming community workshop, residents will have their first opportunity to share their vision of how parks, trails, open space and recreation amenities should develop in the city. The city’s community services staff and RJM Design Group Inc. will gather important input from residents on Monday, March 30 at 6 pm, at the Kay Ceniceros Senior Center at 29995 Evans Road.
RJM Design Group Inc. was awarded the contract in December to create the Parks, Trails, Open Space and Recreation Master Plan (PTOSRMP) during a year--long, six--phase process. The community workshop is part of the public involvement process (Phase 3) that takes place from March to May.
At the free workshop residents will be asked to share their ideas about the recreation needs in Menifee. Participants will be asked about who currently uses the parks and what types of facilities and recreation programs will be needed, as the city grows over the next 10 years. Residents will also be asked what is missing for different age groups such as youth, adults and senior citizens.
“To create a successful master plan, it’s essential that we have input from Menifee’s parks and recreation users----the community,” says Community Services Director Robert Lennox. “This is the first of three workshops where residents will have the opportunity to share their vision for the future of Menifee’s recreational amenities. We’re looking forward to a large turnout.”

Refreshments will be served at the community workshop, and RSVPs are encouraged at
CommunityServices@cityofmenifee.us or by calling (951) 672--6777. For more details about the
PTOSRMP process, visit www.cityofmenifee.us.
